LUMINATE by DNSFilter

The AI-Powered, DNS-First Security Platform

Modern attacks start at the edge, and the greatest vulnerability is the space between your tools. LUMINATE by DNSFilter™ operates upstream of all of them. Most connections start with a DNS request, and that is where LUMINATE by DNSFilter™ makes the security decision, at the earliest control point you have.

Stop the lookup. Stop the attack.

Five suites. One engine.

Each suite is a distinct outcome of shared platform intelligence. Start with one and expand at your pace, with no replatforming between them.

The Problem: Cyberattacks and Shadow AI Both Start With a Lookup

Malware, phishing, and every new AI tool have to resolve a domain before they do anything else. Most security stacks find out after.

  • 79% of all breaches involve the DNS layer
  • 85% of malware actors use DNS in their attacks
  • 46% of organizations have had an employee connect unauthorized AI tooling
  • 20% say an unauthorized AI connection caused a security incident

That gap sits between your tools, and it's where LUMINATE by DNSFilter™ makes its decision.

See it in action

How it Works: Decisions at the DNS lookup

Malware calling home, an agent reaching an API, a user landing on a phishing page. Each one needs to resolve a name before it needs anything else. LUMINATE by DNSFilter™ makes the decision at that moment: Allow or block before the connection even happens.

  1. User request
  2. DNS decision
  3. Connection
  4. Payload
  5. Impact Safe traffic continues
    allowed

Malicious · blocked

No agent required on the device being protected, which is how unmanaged devices, BYOD, and IoT stay secure on your network.

One agent. One console. One intelligence model.

DNS First is a Strategy, Not a Feature

Most of the market treats DNS as plumbing. DNSFilter treats it as the most upstream control point.

  • Infrastructure vendors

DNS as plumbing. Resolution sold on speed and price, with security absent.

    Verdict: Commodity

  • Platform suites

DNS as an add-on. A line item inside a larger bundle, often with a migration attached.

    Verdict: Lock-in

  • DNSFilter

DNS first. The most upstream control point, with five suites built around it.

    Verdict: Control point

Built to Strengthen the Stack You Have

LUMINATE by DNSFilter™ is infrastructure agnostic on purpose. It stands up without a migration project.

  • Agent or agentless, on any network

Managed devices, BYOD, IoT and OT, remote users, and AI agents

  • Full API coverage

Policy, reporting, and enforcement automatable end to end

  • Open, AI-agnostic MCP architecture

Our intelligence powers your SIEM, automation, and copilots, without adopting our AI strategy

  • OEM and whitelabel-ready

Embed our intelligence and enforcement inside your own platform, service, or product

  • "DNS Filtration that just works"

I haven't found anything I don't like about DNSFilter. I've never had issues with it or needed to troubleshoot it. It just works and it listens to me. Customer support is extremely responsive, gives quick and concise answers with little to no time wasted.

  • "Does what the product claims; good value for the price"

We use the product for handling business URL filtering. The DNS look ups are fast and the management of allow/deny lists is pretty easy. Reporting is useful. There are some cool features for granular management at an individual machine level. The price is quite reasonable for what it does. It's pretty much set and forget.

  • "Compliance Level DNS Filtering"

Provides client level installation for DNS filtering when outside of the building. Complements EndPoint and Firewall web filtering by processing all DNS requests through an active filter to help stop malware distribution. We can distribute the product uniquely using RMM to each customer and management and controls are customer unique.

DNS filtering blocks access to malicious or unwanted websites by checking every DNS request against security and content policies before the connection is made. Because it works at the DNS layer, it protects every device on or off your network, with no extra hardware or browser plugins.
